Kim Kardashian revealed she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm during the filming of The Kardashians, blaming the stress of her split from Kanye West and his public outbursts.
Kim Kardashian Reveals Brain Aneurysm Diagnosis, Says Kanye West Divorce “Tested” Her
The reality star opens up about stress, family struggles, and moving on after Ye’s controversies.
In the Season 7 premiere of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian shared an emotional revelation — she was diagnosed with a small brain aneurysm, which she believes may have been triggered by stress surrounding her divorce from Kanye West.
The episode featured a tense mix of family drama, including appearances by Rob Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner, along with a candid look at Kim’s health scare. Cameras captured the 43-year-old reality mogul undergoing an MRI scan, later telling her family it showed a “little aneurysm.”

Kim Links Health Scare to Stress from Kanye West’s Behavior
Kim admitted that the constant turbulence following her split from the rapper formerly known as Kanye West — now legally “Ye” — has taken a toll on her physical and emotional well-being.
“Ye’s recent antics have really tested me,” she said in the episode. “My job as a mom is just to make sure that at a time when that behavior is happening, my kids are protected.”
The former couple shares four children: North (12), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (6).

“It’s the First Time One of My Kids Knew What Was Happening”
Kardashian revealed that for years she tried to shield her children from Ye’s public outbursts, but that became increasingly difficult.
“It was the first time, I think, one of my kids knew what was happening,” she said. “I’ve been able to hide it for so long.”
The SKIMS founder added that she once felt trapped in a cycle of emotional protection and guilt, likening it to Stockholm Syndrome, a psychological condition in which victims develop sympathy for their abusers.
“I always felt bad, always wanted to help,” Kim explained. “But this was the first time I didn’t feel that responsibility personally.”

“It’s a Divorce, Not a Kidnapping” — Kim on Co-Parenting Ye
Kardashian also addressed public speculation that she’s been keeping the kids from their father.
“It’s very confusing,” she said. “There’s all this talk online about me keeping the kids. He’s never once called and asked. Then I wake up and it’s on Twitter that I’m keeping the kids.”
She quipped, “It’s a divorce, not a kidnapping. We haven’t left — we’re in the same spot. What happened to the house you bought next door?”
In 2021, West purchased a house next door to Kim’s Hidden Hills estate, shortly after she filed for divorce — reportedly to remain close to the children.
Failed Attempts at Family Routine
Kim revealed she once suggested West take the kids to school daily and have family dinners each night, but those plans never materialized.
“Maybe that’s too much,” she said. “But that’s what I saw from my mom, my stepdad, and my dad. I wanted that stability for my kids.”
Still, Kim admitted that moments of peace make her anxious: “When it’s quiet, I get nervous. Like, it’s been too calm — something’s gearing up.”
Kanye West’s Public Outbursts Continue to Shadow Their Split
In recent years, West has made numerous controversial statements online, ranging from accusations about Kim’s parenting to racist and antisemitic rants, which led to several business breakups and lawsuits.
Despite everything, Kim said her priority remains her children’s emotional well-being. “They’re going to know things, they’re going to grow up and see,” she said. “I just want them to feel safe.”
Conclusion
The The Kardashians Season 7 premiere gave fans an intimate look into Kim’s health battle, mental strain, and emotional recovery. From a frightening health diagnosis to navigating co-parenting with a controversial ex, Kim continues to balance fame, family, and resilience under the public eye.
