New York, NY – As Sean “Diddy” Combs faces a high-profile federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, speculation surrounding potential witnesses continues to swirl. Among the names rumored to testify was Danity Kane alum Aubrey O’Day, who broke her silence this week regarding her possible involvement.

Speaking candidly on the Amy & T.J. podcast, hosted by former GMA3 anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, O’Day, 41, dispelled growing rumors that she would be taking the stand in Combs’ ongoing federal trial.

“No, I’m not here to testify for the Diddy trial — that I know of,” she said during the May 16 episode. While denying her presence at the courthouse was tied to legal obligations, O’Day confirmed that she had been contacted by Homeland Security.

“I did have a meeting with Homeland Security,” she shared, though she refrained from disclosing the content of the discussion.

The podcast, notably recorded just blocks from the federal courthouse in Manhattan where the trial is underway, aired as Combs continues to fight charges that include racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all allegations.

Combs Faces Disturbing Allegations in Federal Indictment
According to a federal indictment obtained by NBC News, the 55-year-old music mogul — also known by past monikers such as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and most recently, “Love” — is accused of organizing “freak off” sex parties and using threats and coercion to fulfill sexual demands.

The charges stem from years of alleged abuse, some of which were brought to light following FBI raids on Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024.

One of the most serious testimonies came on May 16, when O’Day’s former Danity Kane bandmate Dawn Richard testified in court that she witnessed Combs assault his then-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, in 2009.

“He came downstairs, asking where his phone was and he threw her to the ground,” Richard reportedly told the jury, per NBC News. “He attempted to kick her. She fell to the ground and went into the fetal position, literally trying to hide her head.”

O’Day’s Complicated History With Combs

Aubrey O’Day’s connection to Combs spans nearly two decades. She rose to fame on MTV’s Making the Band, where she was selected to join the all-girl group Danity Kane, managed by Combs himself. Her time in the spotlight under his direction has long been clouded by claims of mistreatment and manipulation.

O’Day has previously criticized Combs both publicly and cryptically. During her February 2025 appearance on The Masked Singer, she appeared to reference the music mogul’s incarceration.

“My ex-boss — Imma go there,” she said. “He calls himself Love. He legally titled himself that. And he uses the love heart to express that everywhere he goes. He’s in prison now, and I just want to say to you guys, the love heart is now here.”

Following the March 2024 raids on Combs’ properties, O’Day shared a cryptic post on Instagram:
“What you sow, you shall reap.”

She elaborated further in a September 2024 interview with TMZ, calling his arrest a moment of personal and collective relief for many alleged victims:
“I never thought I would see this day,” she said. “We all buried this inside of us in order to be able to keep going… Every conversation I’ve had with victims has been beyond moving on all levels.”

A Legacy Reexamined

Though she hasn’t detailed her own experience in full, O’Day has alluded to the pressures and inappropriate conduct she allegedly faced under Combs’ mentorship.

“[Combs] is on camera saying how much he hates it, but he’s off-camera telling me all the ways I needed to be groomed properly — down to my toenails,” she said on the Crysis Queen podcast last year.

“With Diddy, I saw multiple… sides of him.”

Looking Ahead

As of now, Aubrey O’Day has not been called to testify. But her acknowledgment of Homeland Security outreach indicates she may yet play a role in the wider investigation.

Meanwhile, the trial — which could take several weeks — continues to draw national headlines as new witnesses take the stand. Legal analysts say the outcome could redefine how the entertainment industry confronts its own history of abuse and coercion.

For now, O’Day is watching from the sidelines — but not silently.
